Are you suffering with Tinnitus?

Tinnitus is the perception of sound in the ears or head that isn’t caused by an outside source. These sounds can range from ringing in the ears, buzzing, whistling or hissing and other sounds. Sometimes people can only notice these sounds when it is very quiet, and others find that they are much louder and can intrude on everyday life. Currently there is no medical cure for tinnitus.

Having tinnitus can have a major effect on many aspects of your life including relationships and work. People with tinnitus sometimes feel that other people believe they are exaggerating their symptoms because they don’t appear unwell.  You may find it frustrating and upsetting that others don’t always understand how much impact the condition has on your general health and quality of life.  Family and friends just forget that you suffer with tinnitus because it is not a symptom they can see.  This can make you feel angry, depressed, tired, helpless and stressed.  It can then become a vicious cycle because although stress is not a direct cause of tinnitus, it can sometimes make the symptom worse.

Clinical hypnotherapy can help you learn to manipulate the sound itself so that you can take Suffering with Tinnitus?control and change its nature, pitch and tone. We will show you how to train your mind to focus on something else so that the noise in the ears becomes background noise. Since tinnitus can also be exacerbated by stress, we will show you ways that you can use to help you control noise relief and not to feel so stressed.
