Depression - Clinical Hypnotherapy

We can all feel down from time to time, feelings of sadness are quite normal. But if your “low moods” interfere with your life or simply never seem to go away, or if they keep reoccurring, it could be a sign that you are suffering from depression.  Stress, financial worries, pressures of work or redundancy, the economic climate or relationship issues can all lead to depressive thoughts.   Stressful modern day living with total information overload, being available 24/7 via email, text, social media, and the constant unrelenting diet of doom and gloom fed to us via the media, it is unsurprising that 1 in 4 of the UK population suffer from anxiety and depression in the course of a year.

Living with depression can affect every area of your life and can adversely have an impact on those close to you.  It can make you feel very pessimistic, anxious, tired and with no energy, restless, sad, have difficulty concentrating and making decisions, negative thoughts, feeling numb and full of despair. Some people may even tell you to “pull yourself together” but no matter how much you want to, you can’t just simply get over it and feel better.

At Thames Valley Hypnotherapy Clinic, we use specific reprogramming work during therapy, which will assist you in finding the root causes of your depression and allowing you to recognise any patterns of negative thinking and behaviour. We then help you to replace those negative thoughts with more useful ones, freeing you from your symptoms and empowering you to get on with your life with a more positive mindset.
